What this page is
To run Brightgoal we rely on a small number of specialist companies — to host the software, store the database, process subscription payments and deliver messages. In data-protection language these are our sub-processors.
They may only handle personal information to provide their service to us, on our instructions. None of them may use it for their own purposes, and we sell personal information to no one.
This page lists every one of them. It is the complete list, not a sample.
Current sub-processors
Appwrite Cloud
Database, authentication and file storage — the core of the product
Handles
All account and library data, all student records, uploaded photographs and generated documents
Vercel
Hosts and serves the application

Requests to the site, including IP addresses and request metadata in server logs
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Hosts our background service (worker.brightgoal.in), which generates documents and sends messages

Data needed for the job it is performing — for example the contents of a bill or a message
Cashfree Payments
Processes subscription payments from library owners
Handles
Owner name, email, phone and payment details. Card, UPI and bank details go to Cashfree directly and are never seen or stored by us
Resend
Sends transactional email and our newsletter

We will update this page whenever we add or replace a sub-processor. Where the change materially affects how personal information is handled, we will also notify library owners by email.
